Welcome

Hello! I'm Ms. Cox, one of the school counselors at Stewarts Creek Elementary. This is my first year at SCE and I am so excited to get to know all of our Cardinals and their families!

 

A little bit about me - I received my B.A. in Communications and English Literature from the University of Memphis. I earned an Ed.S. in Professional Counseling with a concentration in School Counseling from Middle Tennessee State University (CACREP-accredited). I have lived on three different continents. My go-to way to relieve stress is to get outside - I love hiking! I have a heart for rescuing dogs. My most recent rescue is a hound/Great Pyrenees mix named Sir Arthur Albus.

 

I love my job as a school counselor and feel very lucky to be able to do what I do and support all of the students in our care at SCE. As a school counselor, I provide preventative services to students via classroom guidance lessons. These lessons are structured around academic success, career exploration, and character education topics such as friendship, kindness, and respect. In addition to classroom guidance, I also provide individual counseling and small group counseling services to students, as needed. To make an appointment to see the counselor for one-on-one counseling, please use the form below.
